The SAT college entrance exam is undergoing sweeping revisions, which means big changes for today¡¯s ninth graders, who¡¯ll be the first class to take the revamped standardized test.
The College Board says the test will return to its 16-hundred point scale and focus on vocabulary and math test that better represent what students have been taught and what they will need to succeed both in college and later in life.
What this country needs is not more tests but more opportunities.
Opportunity most noticeably seen through a new partnership with the Khan Academy to provide free test prep for the revised exam, diffusing longstanding criticism that wealthier students perform better because they can afford expensive prep classes.
